As finals and the Holiday season are upon us, I am not only preparing
for the end of my final semester here at SMSU, but for the trip of a
lifetime as well. As everyone hangs up their stockings, decorates their
trees, and shop for last minute gifts, the stress of flying on a plane
by myself looms over like Eeyore’s raincloud.
For those of you that do not know about my trip, here is the basic outline:
I will be in Thailand, specifically Udon Thani, for two months (Dec. 31-Feb.25). I am going with my fellow SMSU classmate and friend, Ari Anderson. We will be staying with host families that work either at the school we are teaching at or the university we are going through. We will be teaching English in a K-12 school in Udon Thani, as well as giving presentations to the teachers in the school on how to teach English.
